For one of our clients in the Dutch banking sector, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a defined project in the Utrecht region. The assignment runs until the end of 2026 and starts around mid-July 2026.<\/p><\/div>\n\r\n\r\n

Organization<\/h4>\n

You will be working for a values-driven Dutch banking institution in the Utrecht region. You will work in a focused team with a lot of personal responsibility. The environment is structured, regulated, and compliance-heavy, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working within existing processes and technical constraints.<\/p><\/div>\n\r\n

Function<\/h4>\n

In this role, you will work as a Senior Java Developer on payment-related integrations. The project focuses on modern payment solutions, including functionality that allows customers to receive money through an email address or phone number instead of only through an IBAN.<\/p>

 <\/p>

Your responsibilities include:<\/p>

  • Developing backend solutions using Java and Jakarta EE<\/li>
  • Working with JBOSS \/ WildFly as the application server<\/li>
  • Contributing to a backend-heavy role, with some frontend involvement<\/li>
  • Working on integrations related to modern payment services<\/li>
  • Discussing technical challenges with the team before starting development<\/li>
  • Scoping problems clearly and choosing the right technical approach<\/li>
  • Maintaining and improving existing systems within the client’s technical environment<\/li>
  • Working independently while keeping the team involved<\/li> <\/ul><\/div>\n\r\n

    Requirements<\/h4>\n

    We are looking for someone who has:<\/p>

    • Minimum 7+ years of Java development experience<\/li>
    • Strong experience with Jakarta EE, Java EE or J2EE<\/li>
    • Experience with JBOSS or WildFly<\/li>
    • A pragmatic mindset and the ability to work within existing constraints<\/li>
    • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented way of working<\/li>
    • Experience with regulated or structured environments, such as banking, insurance, government, or pension funds<\/li> <\/ul><\/div>\n\r\n
