The familiar <em>hirer compensation<\/em> will give way to a new principle: <strong>equal pay<\/strong>. And that has a direct impact on clients.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What exactly is changing?<\/h3>\n\n<p>Whereas previously the focus was on a limited number of compensation components (such as wages and benefits), soon it will be on the <strong>total benefits package<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>That means that as a client you no longer just look at:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>hourly wage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>overtime bonuses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>But to the <strong>full value of what a permanent employee gets<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>salary and pay scales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>vacations and vacation pay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bonuses or profit distributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pension plans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mobility and home office allowances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>training budgets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The bottom line:<br\/>\ud83d\udc49 A flex worker should be rewarded comparably in total value to a permanent colleague in a similar position.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From &#8216;equal pay&#8217; to &#8216;equal total package&#8217;<\/h3>\n\n<p>The difference from the old arrangement is significant:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Through 2025<\/strong>: focus on some fixed wage components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>From 2026<\/strong>: focus on the total value of all working conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In other words, from <em>&#8220;equal pay for equal work&#8221;<\/em> to <em>&#8220;equal total package for similar work.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does this mean for you as a client?<\/h3>\n\n<p>This change makes the playing field fairer, but also more complex.<\/p>\n\n<p>You must as an organization:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have full insight into your own working conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to translate these into a similar package for flex workers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be more aware of differences between permanent and flex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why this legislation?<\/h3>\n\n<p>The new rules are there to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce differences between permanent and flex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prevent unfair competition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>better protect flex workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>And this is probably just the beginning. Regulations around flexible work are expected to be further tightened in the coming years. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do right now?<\/h3>\n\n<p>Smart clients are not waiting until 2026, but are preparing now:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>map your working conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>check where differences are<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make sure your processes are set up accordingly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>In short:<\/strong> flexibility remains important, but it becomes fairer and more transparent.<\/p>\n\n<p>And that requires a new way of working together.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What does &#8220;equal pay&#8221; mean for principals?
