Iris Gemmeke
Commercial Manager
Imagine joining a collaborative engineering team where you’ll work with Kubernetes every day, helping to build and maintain the platforms that keep essential internet services up and running. Sometimes you’ll work from home, other days you’ll collaborate with colleagues on-site in Amsterdam. Either way, you’ll know your work directly contributes to the reliability of the Internet. Interested? This role gives you freedom, impact and plenty of room to grow.
What are your core tasks?
You’ll work on our next-generation Kubernetes platform: deploying clusters, migrating applications and making sure our monitoring and logging are in good shape. You’ll get hands-on with Linux-based systems (Red Hat) and gradually expand your on-prem experience. After six months, you’ll also take part in our 24/7 standby rotation (extra pay on top of your salary). Together with your teammates, you’ll be learning, experimenting and building solid solutions.
What are we looking for?
You’ve already gained some experience with Kubernetes and you’re eager to grow further. You’re flexible, curious, and happy to pick up new on-prem skills along the way.
- At least 2 years of experience managing or building Kubernetes clusters (cloud or on-prem).
- Familiar with Linux-based systems.
- Interest in monitoring, logging and automation.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
What do we offer?
What you get:
- Salary based on your experience.
- Extra pay for 24/7 standby shifts.
- 33 days of paid holiday (full-time) plus paid parental leave.
- Non-contributory pension scheme and top-tier health insurance for you and your family.
- 5% end-of-year allowance and annual personal budgets for health, transport and tech.
- Flexible hybrid working, with options to work abroad for a limited time.
- A modern, international workplace with healthy lunches, barista coffee, and regular team drinks.
- A generous yearly training budget to support your development.
You’ll be working directly for a leading not-for-profit organisation that plays an important role in the governance and operation of the Internet. With a diverse, international workforce of over 180 colleagues from 40+ countries, this organisation values openness, collaboration and community. The contract of employment will be with them — WannaFlex supports you in the process and ensures a smooth recruitment journey.
