Where will you be working?

Our client is a major player in the European energy sector. Within IT, the Cloud & Outsourced Platforms department manages outsourced services and is developing a next-generation cloud operating model. You will lead a team of 14, contribute to a wider IT community of 180+, and play a key role in creating a mature, standardized, cloud-native environment.

What are your core tasks?

In this role you will:

• Lead the ongoing cloud migration and ensure smooth handover into operations.
• Define operating models, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies.
• Build a resilient team through servant leadership, trust, and accountability.
• Manage costs, billing, security, and vendor relationships.
• Shape the companies future IT strategy as part of the program board.
• Work internationally with Dutch and international stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

• Proven leadership in cloud transformation in large, complex environments.
• Strong in governance, vendor management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Skilled at combining strategic vision with operational delivery.
• Experience with KPIs/OKRs, and both agile and traditional IT.
• Servant leader with experience building high-performing teams.
• Background in IT/engineering; knowledge of the energy sector or Finops is a plus.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage, plus willingness to travel.
