Senior Backend Developer – Java / Microservices / Rest API

Where will you be working?

You'll be working at an international organisation in the logistics sector. The environment is technically mature, Kafka- and microservice-based, and the engineering bar is high. You'll join a senior engineering team that values clean code, ownership and clear communication. Working language is English.

What are your core tasks?

As Senior Backend Developer you take ownership of the services you build. You design, develop and maintain production-grade microservices, deliver clean and testable code and contribute actively to architectural decisions. You work closely with fellow backend developers and QA engineers to keep quality high and delivery fast.

Beyond shipping code, you lift the team. You share knowledge, review work constructively and help less senior colleagues grow. When a business question lands on the team, you take initiative to translate it into a technical plan.

What are we looking for?

• Strong senior-level experience in Java (JDK 17+) with Spring Boot
• Proven track record building and maintaining microservices in production
• Comfortable with Docker/Kubernetes and Kafka
• Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions is a plus)
• REST API design and implementation
• Seniority in communication: you explain your thinking, ask the right questions and give clear updates

Nice to have: cloud platform experience, observability tooling, Angular/TypeScript exposure.
