Angular Performance Engineer
Details

Blairi Schermer
Account Manager Development
Some performance issues are easy to spot. This one is not. In this freelance assignment, you improve the speed of a business-critical web application used in an international environment. You enjoy digging into complex Angular setups, finding the real cause of latency and turning analysis into hands-on improvements.
Where will you be working?
You will work in a large international organisation with a complex digital landscape and a strong focus on web performance at scale. The role sits in a cross-functional performance domain, so you will not be tied to one fixed product team. Instead, you work across systems and stakeholders, with plenty of room for autonomy and technical ownership.
What are your core tasks?
As Frontend Performance Engineer, you focus on analyzing and improving page load performance in an existing Angular application. A key part of the assignment is a dynamic form flow within a broader web platform, where different dependencies influence performance.
You investigate where delays are introduced and determine whether the root cause sits in the application itself, the framework, third-party elements or the surrounding platform. From there, you set up experiments, validate improvements and help make frontend performance measurable on a global level.
What are we looking for?
- You have strong Angular knowledge at architecture level.
- You are hands-on and comfortable improving performance yourself.
- You have experience with frontend performance analysis and optimisation.
- You have solid knowledge of CDN, caching and content delivery.
- You can work independently in an existing codebase and complex environment.
- Backend understanding is a plus.
- Experience with SSR is a plus.
What do we offer?
- Freelance contract.
- 32 to 40 hours per week.
- One day on-site per week is appreciated and not a hard requirement.
- 6-month assignment with possible extension.
- A technically challenging role in an international enterprise environment.
- Plenty of room for autonomy, analysis and measurable impact.
