Lead Data Architect
Details
You notice it immediately when data architecture isn’t right. Dashboards tell different stories. Teams build smart solutions, but everyone does it their own way. And somewhere along the line, speed is lost. As Lead Data Architect – Analytics & Platforms, you bring structure, direction, and clarity. You make decisions, set standards, and make sure they’re actually used. That’s how teams move faster, with confidence and impact.
Where will you be working?
-
What are your core tasks?
You define how analytical data is structured, integrated, governed, and consumed across a complex digital landscape. You own the end-to-end analytics architecture and make sure platforms, data models, and integration patterns fit together logically and sustainably. You design scalable analytics platforms, connect batch and streaming data flows, and make data ready for advanced analytics and machine learning. Most importantly, you provide architectural leadership: clear choices, shared patterns, and guidance that helps teams deliver better outcomes.
What are we looking for?
You’re a seasoned data architect who enjoys owning both the “why” and the “how”. You’re comfortable setting direction, making trade-offs, and explaining your decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You have several years of experience as a data or analytics architect.
You have deep knowledge of analytical data platforms such as warehouses or lakehouses.
You understand OLAP, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
You’re familiar with modern cloud data stacks and data orchestration concepts.
You communicate clearly and naturally take the lead in complex discussions.
What do we offer?
A (hopefully) long term interim assignment.
A hybrid setup with plenty of flexibility and 1–2 days per week on-site in the Hoofddorp region.
A role with mandate: you don’t just advise, you decide.
Close collaboration with analytics, engineering, and data science teams.
Space to grow, deepen your expertise, and raise the architectural maturity of the organization.
